Cookie Policy
This page explains what n8secure.co.uk stores in your browser. The short version: almost nothing, and nothing that tracks you.
What we store
The only thing this site saves is a single entry in your browser’s local storage, called theme, which remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is used for nothing else.
We use no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics, and no advertising technologies.
Why there’s no cookie banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 from 5 February 2026, storing a display or accessibility preference falls under the “appearance” exception, it doesn’t require consent. Because your theme choice is the only thing we store, and it qualifies for that exception, we’re not required to show a consent banner, so we don’t.
(Local storage isn’t technically a “cookie”, but we’re describing it here for transparency.)
Managing it
You can clear this at any time through your browser’s settings for site data or storage. The site will keep working, it’ll simply start again in its default light theme.
If this ever changes
If we later add first-party analytics purely to improve our own site, that may fall under the separate “statistical purposes” exception, and if we ever introduced any third-party or advertising technology (which does require your consent), we would update this policy and add a proper consent mechanism before doing so.
